Kate's Beauty Products (& Where YOU can get them!)

Kate's makeup always seems to look flawless. From her clear skin, to her perfectly blushed cheeks! I will be talking about a few of the Duchess' beauty products she has been known to use, and how you can get them too!

Lets start off with her moisturizer. The Duchess uses Nivea's Pure & Natural facial moisturizer Day Cream. It is not currently available for sale in the US in stores, but thanks to Amazon you can buy it online from the UK here.  
It sells for about $18.99 USD. The description Nivea has for the cream says it "Gives naturally soft, smooth skin , provides intensive 24h moisture and freshness and enriches skin’s natural healthy glow."


Next is the Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat concealer pen. Kate would put this under her eyes, and under the brow bone adding a luminous highlight. It sells for about $42 USD and you can buy it from Sephora at this link here.  
It is described as "a luminizing pen that brings light and radiance to skin, immediately erasing any signs of fatigue, and brightening the complexion" You can definitely see the glow it adds to Kate's makeup, and you too can achieve that glow! 

Rarely does Kate wear false eyelashes. She coats her lashes with the Lancome Hypnose Mascara. It sells for $27.50 at Sephora, which you can buy here. 
It is described as a  "bold, or natural, as you desire with Hypnôse Custom Volume Mascara. With every stroke, the patented POWERFULL™ brush intensifies lashes from root to tip while the exclusive SoftSculpt™ formula—enriched with Vitamin B5—wraps lashes one luxurious layer at a time without smearing, smudging, or clumping."

On the Royal Wedding Day, the makeup company Bobbi Brown confirmed that the Royal Bride wore their Bobbi Brown lipstick in the shade Sandwash Pink (See my next blog post for a review on it!) The neutral pretty pink shade wasn't just for her special day, Kate has no doubt worn this shade often! You can buy it from Sephora here. It sells for $27 USD. It is described as a "lipstick treats lips to rich color with a soft-matte finish. Infused with vitamins E and C as well as beeswax, it also moisturizes and comforts lips." I just bought this shade and will post a review on it in the next couple days!

There is no doubt Kate loves her blush. Along with the lipstick, Kate also uses the Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink, which she also wore on her Wedding Day! It sells for $28 USD and you can buy it here.  It is described as "A silky-sheer powder blush that instantly gives cheeks a fresh, natural-looking pop of color." With its pale pink color you can wear this shade day or night, just like Kate!

RepliKating Kate's Polo Outfits and More!

Hello! In this post I will talk about how I recreated the Duchess' look, and what the outcome looks like!    

In June of this year, the Duchess of Cambridge showed up wearing a blue and white striped shirt with jeans and her loved Sebago flats. If it may look familiar, that is because the previous year she wore the same outfit at the 2014 polo match - replacing the blue stripes for white! Not to mention she has been many times wearing the stripes, jeans, sebago flats combo look - including during the Royal Canada 2011 Tour, and most recently, the America's World Cup series engagement. 

Below, I have recreated both the 2014 & 2015 Polo Match look. The Duchess was also spotted grocery shopping wearing this look only changing her hairstyle and black jeans in place of blue, which I also recreated!

 
This is a very easy look to recreate. I own the same shoes the Duchess has - the Sebago flats, which go for about 95$ USD. So I decided to have some fun with it! Even without owning the Sebago's, it is a very common
boat shoe look, so any boat shoe will work in its place. I bought the striped top from H&M - about 25$ USD, and my jeans are from Forever 21 - about 20$ USD. Again, these are very common pieces you can find anywhere. Wear your hair loose and pair it with some square styled sunglasses (I believe Kate's sunnies are Ray Bans) and you've got the look!

The Duchess earns her Advanced Scuba Diving certificate!

Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Duchess has completed her advanced scuba diving course! Kate has always been very athletic even back in her school days. She is known to frequently sail, ski, play tennis, hockey, etc. 

She has completed the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, aka the PADI, Advanced Open Water Diver qualification, and is able to dive up to a depth of 98 feet. 

Pretty impressive!

This also means she is able to join Prince William (who is also a diver) on underwater trips. 

One of their favorite known vacation spots is the island of Mustique, where it is rumored Kate completed her course, and is also where William has gone on deep dives in.

William is also the president of the British Sub-Aqua club. 

So no doubt this certificate will go into good use!

 In order to pass the course, Catherine would of most likely had to pass a deep dive and underwater navigation, including how to handle equipment and emergencies.
