Kate Middleton's First Appearance after Royal Baby Announcement!

The Duchess is back after cancelling several events following the announcement on September 8th, 2014 that her and Prince William are expecting their second child

Prince William and Catherine welcomed the President of Singapore and his wife on October 21st, 2014 in London - Making it the Duchess' first appearance in nearly two months after the second royal baby announcement.

Kate looked incredible wearing a coat dress from Alexander McQueen, holding a Jenny Packam clutch and black heels. She wore a gray Jane Taylor hat which we saw her wear previously on Easter in Australia, and wore her hair in a polished loose ponytail. We have seen the necklace she wore before when her, Prince William and Harry planted poppies at the Tower of London.

The Duchess is suffering from an extreme form of morning sickness called Hyperemesis Gravidarum - described as "very acute morning sickness, which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients," which is what admitted her to the hospital and what made the royal baby announcement unusually early - both in Dec 2012 with the announcement of Prince George and the second royal baby.

Despite her illness, Catherine looked great. I thought she really pulled off the color scheme of her Jane Taylor hat with her Alexander McQueen coat dress and how her hair pulled back let other pieces of the outfit come into focus.

The Royal couple met the President of Singapore, Tony Tan and his wife, Mary in the Royal Garden Hotel to welcome them to London on behalf of the Queen during their four day visit to Britain.

When the President's wife told the Duchess she was glad she could make it, Kate replied “So am I, I’ve been looking forward to getting out of the house, that’s for sure.”

Prince William also joked about their residence at Kensington Palace, which is nearby the hotel the Royal couple welcomed the President and his wife, saying “You can probably see into our bedroom window which is a bit worrying – I wouldn’t look too closely.”
